Devra, the unique country homestay is hosted by Major Durga Das (ex-Indian Army), fondly known as Major and his wife Jyoti Jasol. The couple has been married for 30 years now and belongs to the royal ancestral lines of The House of Bassi- Udaipur and Rathores of Marwar- Jodhpur, respectively. Both Major and Jyoti are animal lovers and like to spend time with their guests, their pets and take care of them personally while their stay at Devra. They will happily accompany y ou, whether going for morning walks in the farms or spending an evening and getting to know about Udaipur and Rajasthani Culture. Their hospitality and culture is deeply rooted in their large joint family backgrounds and both of them have been associated as culture consultants with many leading hotel groups in the country like the Oberoi group and the Udaipur palace for their events and public relations. Growing up Jyoti has witnessed and learnt the traditional cuisines and she thrives on demonstrating the same through her food for the guests at Devra. She often takes delight in conducting heritage cooking classes as well on appointment.
